Default Individual Guild Hall Guides

I have used the search button and also searched guru without finding anything more than pictures. I am just wondering whey there are no stategy guilds for each hall. I am sure that there are important points to consider in the strategy of defending and attacking with each hall.

To be spefic I am looking for information about strategy with the Isle of the Dead guild hall.

Thanks,

Ì think guildwiki has some nice information on guildhalls, and some brief comments on tactics in those halls.

Thanks but not much help there. I had already checked it and this is what they have to say about thier GvG information.

This page needs some more updating. Missing so far: Usage of guild thief, ganking, flagrunner and any mentioning of tactics, exact amount of faction for a win (this did change with the last patch. I know it is 500 sometimes but I heard it can be different?) - Xeeron 21. Sept. 2005

The amount of faction you gain per win varies with the amount of rating your guild has, in 100 rating increments.

1000-1099 rating : 500 faction
1100-1199 rating : 750 faction
1200-1299 rating : 1000 faction
1300-1399 rating : 1250 faction
1400-1499 rating : 1500 faction

and so on (I assume, it's been a while since I haven't been UAX. I won't be able to test it on my second account since I didn't remember to have it join the guild before the cutoff deadline) If I'm wrong on some of these numbers, let me know.

Thanks Wheel. As always when I read your posts they are informative and precise.

The other items mentioned is what I am really looking for with this post.

Tactics that decide if you should flag run or defend (build based decision?)

Generic Strategy with each hall (mainly Isle of the Dead). Not build specific just an overview of the main defence and attack areas. When and how pressure should be applied in this type of hall. Any strategic points to try to capture and maintain.

BTW what the hell is Ganking? Not a term I have come to know yet.

I know that the 2nd one is a little hard to put into words and will come with experiance but if you have insight please share.

Thanks

As a general rule you always flag run, the only reason not to flag run is if you are geting wiped out at the flag stand and they got full moral.

Then your gonna be wanting to defend the guild lord and work off some DP, its possible to kill their entire team and rush out and cap the flag and secure a moral boost but you gota rely on them messing up and taking to much damage at the lord.

Not many people play isle of the dead, there are 2 places where you can fight, in the long hallway or in the main area with the mud. If you have lots AoE then use the hallway, backlines are hard to keep in the main mud area.

Splitting on that map is possible too, make sure they dont gank your offence team inside the lord area as there is only 1 way out of the place.

Body blocking the flag stand is easiest on this map as it has only 1 entrance to cap, 3-4 people are needed to block effectivly. Note that blocking without adequate protection or defences may mean you all get killed because you took too much damage.

Ganking is when someone gets killed by a gang of people with much more players or higher level, like a 2v1 or 8v4 or a lvl 50 vs lvl10 etc

Im sure some1 can write you some proper tactics for this map, and how to use the mud to your advantage.

Indeed. In GvG terms however it generally refers to the other team killing your guild lord, whilst avoiding direct conflict with you.

the guild halls may seem like a bunch of varied and interesting levels taht would provide unique strategy for each battle, but its not that in depth

each map has specific little things and you will want to know where the repair kit is or where catapult hits or how doors work. Other than that theres a few terrain issues on each map and sometimes the position of NPC's is helpful to know but in general maps are pretty similar.

You can play them how you want. If you want to force a split some maps are easier but you can do it on any map, even fire hall, just have to take different paths. In general the uinique parts of a map are a smaller part of GvG, and you will pick up on them with experience and after you are good at fighting a GvG in general. If you are just starting out, i wouldnt worry too much about the maps.

Also if you watch observer mode you can learn a lot
